CGU Homes, a Naples-based luxury home building and remodeling contractor, recently began construction on a custom, private residence in Delray Beach. The 5,674 square foot home is expected to be complete by the end of 2021.

Architectural plans of the home include 3-bedrooms, 3-full bathroom, 2 half-baths, Office, an open concept living area with floor-to-ceiling glass and outdoor entertainment area that includes a pool, grilling area and lounge. The house is directly located across from the beach providing the perfect view and access to the Atlantic Ocean.

“The clients want to have a connection between the indoor and outdoor spaces through natural light,” said Jon Lawrence, Partner/Vice President of CGU Homes. “The interior designer was very involved in helping to achieve this.”

CGU Homes partnered with Stofft Cooney Architects, a Naples-based firm, to complete the design of this unique home.

“CGU Homes has a long working relationship with Stofft Cooney Architects with single family homes and residential renovations,” said Lawrence. “In addition to being one of the top architectural firms in South Florida, Stofft Cooney is extremely familiar with the neighborhood and their architectural guidelines. This made them the perfect fit for this project. Randy Stofft has a creative twist to the coastal/modern style creating a one-of-a-kind home for the clients.”

To achieve this sophisticated and modern design the homeowners are envisioning, the clients enlisted the help of interior designer Megan Winters to bring her eye for unique interiors to the project. Winters, of Megan Winters Design, is known for designing high-end and luxury residences across the country.

“When you think of the design of this home, think Coco Chanel,” said Winters. “Stylish, super chic and high fashion.”

Because the homeowners enjoy entertaining, love being outdoors and are very visual individuals, Winters knew to keep the spaces open, warm and inviting, as well as bright and comfortable. In addition, Winters designed the kitchen as a modern and ultra-functional chef’s kitchen with intricate millwork details.

“All in all, this is a modern, bright, clean-lined home open to the sunshine and water and is filled with sleek, comfortable, high-style furniture and art. A state-of-the-art smart home built by a top builder and sought-after South Florida architecture firm,” concluded Winters.

“An extremely talented team has come together to create this one-of-a-kind home,” continued Lawrence. “We’re very excited to be working with this award-winning team and look forward to the end result which will be an exquisite home for our clients.”
